I am so very lucky and grateful to know and work with so many great artists. Our friendship that was born of mutual appreciation and respect began many years ago when Gaga dressed her dancers in my Stephen Sprouse/Louis Vuitton Graffiti leggings. She gave me a shout out on stage, and when I became aware I got in touch with her. I fell in love with the person she is and the art that she makes. I went to see her perform repeatedly in New York and in Paris. We have collaborated on many things and as the scope of her talent grows, and she grows- I am consistently in awe of the woman she is. I am so proud of her, and so proud to call her my friend. Extraordinary speech, EXTRAORDINARY WOMAN.

On Monday 15th October 2018, I met with the Prime Minister, Theresa May at Downing Street. This was a part of No.10 Downing St's Black history month event that celebrated the UN International Decade of People of African Decent. The Prime Minister and I discussed a number of issues including the continued fight for racial equality as well as urgent mental health issues affecting young girls in the UK – especially issues stemming from low self esteem. I’ve noticed a worrying rise in mental health problems amongst young people in the UK, particularly young girls. I was very impressed with the PM’s desire to both acknowledge and confront these shared interests of tackling race equality and mental health. I also pledged to support the PM on these issues.

Bronze piano tho!!!!!??? 👀 👀 👀 My first piano looked nothing like this. It was an old brown wood player piano. I imagined it as it played by itself sometime in the 1920’s. I practiced for hours on that thing, Bach, Satie, Marian Mcpartland, Oscar Peterson, Mozart, Mendelssohn etc. I would be so frustrated having to learn these complex parts while everyone else was outside playing, the echos of friends having fun. But I realize that those classical pieces are some of the most important part of my life and my sound And because I learned to play I’ve never had to depend on anyone to create my music. I’m always grateful for that gift And No one can ever take that from me!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🎹 🎹 I’m not sure what this all has to do with the picture I posted but you get me 🤣🤣🤣
